Affiliate and earnings disclosure
Some links on campspec are affiliate links. When a reader buys through one, the retailer may pay campspec a commission. The retailer pays it; it is not added to the price, and it costs the reader nothing extra.
Which links can earn
Commissions are paid through Commission Factory and Impact. Links to Anaconda, Caravan RV Camping, My Generator, EcoFlow, BLUETTI, Anker SOLIX and Jackery can earn a commission.
What commission does not change
Commission has no bearing on which products are listed, which retailers' prices are shown, the order of those prices (lowest first), or any specification. The headline price, shown in green, is the lowest current price from a retailer that states the product in stock, whether or not that retailer pays a commission.
Commission touches a page in two places, both set out here:
- where two retailers charge exactly the same price, the headline goes to the one whose link can earn a commission; the price shown is the same either way;
- where the headline retailer pays no commission, a retailer that does, and whose price is no more than 10% above the headline, is named beside it with its own price.
How the links are marked
Every retailer link passes through a short redirect on this site (an address beginning /go/) and is marked rel="sponsored" in the page code, which tells search engines it is a commercial link. That applies to every retailer link, whether or not it can earn. An affiliate link carries an identifier for campspec so the network can credit the sale; it holds nothing about the reader.
Earnings
Commissions are how campspec is paid for. No brand or retailer pays for a listing, a position in a table, or a mention, and there are no sponsored reviews because there are no reviews. What the site earns depends on what readers buy, and is not published.
